Advertising cards for the women’s stocking brand Choula, produced by the “Nouvel” hosiery workshop founded in 1947 by Georgios Nouveloglou, an Alaya refugee. The family enterprise—run with the participation of his wife Anastasia and their children, Stathis and Evangelia—grew alongside the flourishing textile sector in Nea Ionia, which came to be known as the “Manchester of Greece.”
After the founder’s death, the business was taken over by his son Stathis Nouveloglou, and today it continues successfully with the involvement of his grandson Georgios Nouveloglou, President of the Alaya Association.
Donated to the collection of the Alaya Association by the family of Stathis Nouveloglou, it is exhibited at the ALAYA Cultural Centre.
