Sweet Dish Platter
A decorative platter for sweets from the home of the Tsobanoglou family in Alaya. It bears a characteristic vegetal and naturalistic decoration of the period, with vivid polychromy and a crackle glaze—features associated with Asia Minor ceramic workshops of the early 20th century.
After the expulsion, the family first took refuge on Spetses and later settled in Nea Ionia, in the neighbourhood of Eleftheroupoli.
