Holy Trinity II
A portable wooden icon depicting the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove), executed in egg tempera with a gold ground. It stands out for its style of early 20th-century Asia Minor folk icon painting, with vivid colours, strong linearity, and a simplified approach to perspective. It was preserved from an Alaya household during the expulsion of 1922.
