The priest safely led his flock to Nea Ionia, where he continued his ministry until his passing.<br \/>\nThe object is an example of early 20th-century ecclesiastical metalwork, with a cast bronze body and inlaid ivory plaques\u2014materials used to lend splendour and solemnity to ritual objects.
